HIKING & BIKING
We are situated very close to the Fife Coastal Path and in every cottage there is a booklet that includes 40 Coast and Country Walks.
Enjoy walks up and down the Coast or venture inland to the likes of Falkland which is a 30 minute drive and has a number of beautiful walks as you trace back the walk of kings and queens or challenge yourself up the two Lomond Hills. Or for those that like biking there is Blairadam Forest which is a 24 minute drive away. Or just walk or bike from the farm to Kinghorn Loch or down to the Coast starting at Kinghorn or Seafields.
GOLF COURSES
The Kingdom of Fife is famous as the home of golf and has some of the best golf courses in the world.
Within a 40 minute radius of the farm you can visit St Andrews where you are spoilt for choice with so many golf courses to choose from or drive to the spectacular Gleneagles or head over to Dunbarnie at Elie for spectacular views of the sea while you play. There are so many golf courses to choose from if you need advice don’t hesitate to get in touch. Every cottage can accommodate golf clubs.
WHISKEY TOURS
Explore the world of Whiskey and its history in Fife and Edinburgh.
There are a number of whiskey distilleries all within a 40 minute drive where you can enjoy tours learning the history and how whiskey is made along with the different flavors and types. Winning a world whiskey award the family run Kingsbarns Distillery has a magnificent visitor centre with regular tours. It’s worth booking in and note they do non-english speaking tours too. Revived after 523 years Lindores Abbey Distillery is another worth a visit. With Whiskey and History tours to choose from, it’s set in a beautiful valley. Or train or drive through to Edinburgh and sign up for the Scotch Whiskey Experience a five star visitor attraction at the top of the Royal Mile.
